Workforce Capability Framework in 2024

2023 was a busy year with the launch of Workforce Capability Framework. We had lots of conversations and engagement with services about how to bring it to life in their workplace.

We were delighted with the People, Culture and HR forum in November with 60 attendees and ‘buzz’ in the room. Alisa Hall, Rosie O’Malley and Amy Wormwell shared some of their insights for how The Framework can support us to develop our people and sustain ourselves in the important work that we do.

You can catchup by viewing the presentations here.

  • The Journey – Alisa talks about working with the sector to create The Framework.
  • Evidence and Advocacy – Rosie discusses the importance of evidence and advocacy.
  • Responsibility, Reflective Practice & Resilience – Amy talks about how we can support our own resilience.

We also heard from Grace Tame who shared some of her experiences and how she sustains herself in her advocacy and leadership.  Grace talked about staying focused on purpose and not taking on everything, ensuring that we have an identity outside of our work, running marathons and art!

This year we are offering services practical and tailored implementation support for The Framework. This will involve online workshops and tailored support.  If you’re wondering where to begin, this project will help you find the entry point, get started and bring your ideas to life. If you have already started the implementation, you are still eligible for the support as it will be tailored to your needs.

This tailored approach supports individual service needs, the sharing of learning and resources for the benefit of the whole sector.

You can express interest in being involved here.

Keep an eye out too for launch of a suite of practical resources and tools that are informed by and compliment The Framework. This includes:

  • A supporting resource – tips for implementing the Framework, including scenario-based examples.
  • Reflective Question resource that aligns with the capability domains in the framework
  • Job interview guide and question bank for recruitment purposes
