Knowledge Translation
One of the key activities of WorkUP is to translate evidence and support the sector to increase evidence informed practice. Our knowledge translation plan articulates our three priority areas and the ways in which we will support the sector. We will:
- Create opportunities for workers to engage with research and evidence
- Work with you to articulate evidence underpinning current practice
- Support you to build your understanding of and capacity to implement evidence
Our goal is that practice across the sector is increasingly informed by evidence and is characterised by continuous improvement.
All of this work is underpinned by knowledge translation theory about how to mobilise evidence into action. This keynote address, Mobilising evidence for wicked problems: Lessons learned from gender-based research delivered by Professor Nadine Wathan at the 2021 ANROWS conference unpacks the challenges of knowledge mobilisation and presents a model that describes how to do this work in practice.
